Ward Village Shops is a mixed use retail and residential project in a re-development area of Honolulu. The full block is re-developed as the first phase of a 9 block, urban life-style district. Extensive residential development in high rise towers, street level -pedestrian friendly retail, structured parking, public open space, parks and plazas provide opportunity for a vibrant urban community.
The initial phases of construction on the first block provides 139,000 square feet of retail, structured parking for 720 cars, temporary surface parking, urban plazas, and extensive landscape planting with native plant materials. A Cultural Preserve is celebrated with a garden of native plant materials and serves as the burial location of native Hawaiians and artifacts found during the construction process.
